You can edit a Microsoft Form submission if the form creator has enabled the option and you have used the "Save and edit later" feature after submitting.
Editing Your Microsoft Form Submission
Microsoft Forms now provides a convenient way for respondents to modify their answers after initial submission. This capability is tied to a specific feature designed for this purpose.
According to an update from 14-May-2024, after submitting their form responses, users will now see a button labeled Save and edit later. Clicking this button will take respondents back to the Forms portal, where they can open the form they want to edit, then click Edit responses at the top right.
This means that if the form presenter has enabled this setting and you utilize the provided "Save and edit later" button right after submitting, you will be able to return and make changes to your submitted responses.
Steps to Edit Your Response
To edit a previously submitted response using this new feature:
- Submit your form as you normally would.
- Look for and click the "Save and edit later" button that appears after submission.
- You will be directed to the Forms portal.
- In the portal, open the specific form for which you want to edit the response.
- Locate and click "Edit responses" usually found at the top right of the form interface within the portal.
- Make the necessary changes to your submission.
- Save or resubmit the form with your updated answers.
This process ensures that you can conveniently revisit and adjust your answers if needed, provided the form settings and your post-submission actions allow for it.
