To unlock Zan in Monster Rancher EVO, you must complete a two-step process: first, make the Zan species available for generation, and then obtain a specific Zan monster using particular game discs or DVDs.
Making Zan Available
Before you can obtain a Zan, the species itself must be unlocked in your game. This is achieved by:
- Defeating Nazzeni: Locate and defeat the monster Nazzeni within the game.
- Obtaining the Black Egg: Upon Nazzeni's defeat, you will receive the Black Egg.
- Availability at the Shrine: Once you have the Black Egg, Zans will become available to unlock at the Shrine, meaning you can now attempt to generate them.
Obtaining a Zan
Once the Zan species is available, you can obtain an individual Zan monster by using specific media at the Shrine. In Monster Rancher EVO, monsters are generated from various PS2 games or DVDs inserted into the console.
To generate a Zan, you can use the following discs:
