Joey Fatone joined the musical group that would soon become NSYNC in the summer of 1995.
The Formation of NSYNC and Joey Fatone's Role
In the summer of 1995, Joey Fatone befriended fellow performer Chris Kirkpatrick while working at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. It was Chris Kirkpatrick who recruited Joey as the fourth member of a new vocal group. This initial lineup included Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez, alongside Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone.
This core group then expanded when Lance Bass joined. Following Bass's addition, the collective officially formed and became known as NSYNC, solidifying the iconic five-member lineup. Therefore, Joey Fatone was an integral part of the group's foundational stages, joining well before their global superstardom took off.
