You can find your PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code as an 8-digit number on either your SIM card's original packaging or, in some cases, directly on the SIM card itself.
On Your SIM Card Packaging
When you first obtain your SIM card, it typically comes attached to a larger, credit card-sized piece of plastic from which you pop out the smaller SIM. This original packaging is the primary place to look for your PUK code.
- Locate the original SIM card holder: This is the larger plastic card that held your SIM before you inserted it into your phone.
- Examine the printed text: Carefully look for an 8-digit number, often labeled as "PUK" or "PUK1." It's usually printed alongside other SIM-related information.
On the SIM Card Itself
While less common or harder to read due to the small size, some SIM cards may have the PUK code printed directly on them.
- Remove your SIM card: If you no longer have the packaging, gently remove your SIM card from your device.
- Inspect the physical card: Look closely at the surface of the SIM card for a printed 8-digit number. Note that SIM cards also have other serial numbers printed on them, so ensure you're identifying the correct PUK code.
